📂 Reproducibility Package: Tidal Erosion of the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass This archive contains all the necessary data and scripts to reproduce the plots and table data presented in: "Asymmetric Tidal Erosion of the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass: A Coupled Horizontal - Vertical Mixing Process on the Eastern Flank"Shriver, J. F., Yadidya, B., Yu, Z., Gulliver, L., & Metzger, E. J. 🛠️ System Requirements & Environment To run these scripts, you will need either GNU Octave or MATLAB. Primary Environment: All figures (except Figure 9) were computed and tested using GNU Octave (v11.1). Alternative/MATLAB Environment: Figure 9 must be executed in MATLAB (v2024a or newer) due to rendering issues in Octave. Required Packages: Running fig_2.m in Octave requires the statistics package. Run pkg load statistics in the command window before launching the script. 🗺️ Archive Contents & Mapping All scripts assume that the data files (.mat format) reside in the same directory as the scripts (.m format). Extract all zipped files to a single folder before running. Open Octave or MATLAB and set your working directory to the extracted folder. (Optional) If reproducing Figure 2 in Octave, execute: pkg load statistics Run the desired script (e.g., type fig_1_4 in the command window) to generate the figures. Output plots will be displayed and can be compared with the reference .jpg files included in this archive.
