Maternal stress during late pregnancy can lead to intrauterine hyperthermia affecting fetal hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis development and function. This study aimed to characterize the impact of in utero heat stress on the postnatal offspring's adrenal gland transcriptome. Overall design: Adrenal glands were harvested from in utero heat stressed (IUHS) and in utero cooled (IUCL) female calves at birth (day 0, n=6 per treatment) and at weaning (day 63, n=6 per treatment) for RNA Sequencing.
