Serious Injury Outcome Indicators: 2000-2024

Changes since the 2000-23 release: Changes to data: National population estimates have been revised for the years ended 2018-2023. All age-standardised rates during this period may have changed as a result of this revision. The Household Labour Force Survey (HLFS) has been revised for the years ended 2018-2023 to incorporate the updated population estimates. The full-time equivalent employee estimates used in calculation of the age-standardised rates of work-related injuries have been revised for this period and the rates may have changed as a result of this revision. Revisions to fatal drowning injuries data made outside the usual revision period reflect quality updates provided by Water Safety New Zealand. Mortality Collection data for 2021 is provisional and subject to change.
