Identification of heat shock-induced noncoding RNAs

The cellular stress response is essential for the maintenance of homeostasis, as cells are subjected to several environmental stresses such as heat shock stress, UV stress or oxidative stress. Organisms respond to cellular stress with gene regulation. During heat shock stress, eukaryotic cells globally suppress gene expression. On the other hand, expression of selective genes is promoted in heat shock stress. HSPs, well-known heat shock stress-inducible genes, play important role in maintenance of protein homeostasis upon heat shock stress. It is very important to reveal gene regulation network in heat shock stress response. In this study, we tried to identify novel long noncoding RNA which are involved in heat shock stress response by using RNA-seq analysis.
