Compensatory gains fail to offset accelerating losses in tidal wetland ecosystem services (1999–2019)

This Zenodo record contains the datasets and analysis scripts used in our study of spatiotemporal changes in the ecosystem service value (ESV) of global tidal wetlands. The deposited materials include:(1) 100-m resolution CSV datasets of ESV change for multiple ecosystem service categories across six time intervals and the full period 1999–2019;(2) 1° resolution CSV datasets of ESV change for the same service categories and periods;(3) country-level CSV datasets summarizing ESV loss, gain, and net change;(4) the compiled valuation-point dataset used for ESV estimation; and(5) R scripts for random forest modeling, SHAP analysis, and figure generation. Detailed descriptions of the datasets, variables, file structure, and scripts are provided in the accompanying README files.
