资源简介:
The Perth AIDS Research Project (PARP) is a long term, multi-stage research program on health care and AIDS among the people in Perth. The date file was produced by PARP in order to examine unsafe sexual practices among heterosexual, bisexual and gay people and consists of AIDS-related items and sex-related items. The data file is part of a broader study which examines four social correlates of unsafe sexual intercourse for gay, bisexual and heterosexual people. These are (1) alcohol consumption; (2) uncertainty about one's HIV-infection status; (3) learned and shared logic about condoms; and (4) logic about the seriousness of the Aids epidemic. Variables include: knowledge of AIDS transmission, contact with AIDS victims, HIV status, number of times tested, reasons for testing or not testing, evaluation of the testing procedure, sexual orientation and degree of comfort with it, frequency of sexual activity, type of sexual activity, safer sex practices, thoughts about safer sex practices, the AIDS epidemic, alcohol and casual sex. Background variables include: age, gender, relationship status, occupation, place of birth, length of residence in Perth.
