Semiconductor sequencing of 16S rRNA gene variable regions V1-V2 using experimental pre-release 400BP chemistries from clinical specimens. Sequencing was performed on an Ion Torrent PGM using version 1 318 chips. Specimens included cystic fibrosis (CF) sputum samples, brain abscesses, a lymph node biopsy, mixtures of cultured isolates, and other controls.
