Honey bee wing disc small RNAs

Small RNA libraries were prepared from imaginal wing discs dissected from workers at the L5PP2 phase. Two samples containing each 130 pairs of forewing imaginal discs and the same quantity of hindwing imaginal discs, respectively, were prepared. Total RNA was extracted following Trizol manufacture protocol and samples were used as template in the preparation of small RNAs libraries, according to Illumina single-end protocol for Genome Analyzer II platform.
