Purpose: Find out the consequences of Sox19b binding to the nucleosome distribution after ZGA Methods: MNase-seq of WT and MZsox19b mutant zebrafish embryos at dome stage, building up nucleosome occupancy profiles Results:Maternal Sox19b is involved in the nucleosome displacement from HNARs at the zygotic genome activation. Conclusions: Nucleosome clearance by maternal Sox19b is essential for proper onset and timing of gastrulation. Nucleosome occupancy profiles of dome staged wild type (WT) and MZsox19b zebrafish mutant were generated by MNase treatment followed by deep sequencing, using Illumina HiSeq 2500.
