资源简介:
This is data from a longitudinal narrative medicine intervention that took place over the course of one year (December 2020 – December 2021), including preliminary data collection, implementation of the intervention, and final data collection. The purpose of the study was to determine if a six month-long narrative medicine intervention in categorical and combined program pediatrics residents at Nationwide Children’s Hospital could change levels of empathy, resilience, self-compassion, burnout, mindfulness, and perceived stress both immediately after the end of the intervention and six months later, as empathy, resilience, self-compassion, and mindfulness have been shown to be negatively correlated with burnout and perceived stress positive correlated with burnout. These six parameters were measured using established surveys with validity evidence. Perceptions of the curriculum were also measured using qualitative survey questions. Demographic data was collected for each individual as well. T0 (before the intervention) and T1 (immediately after the intervention) data was collected in controls and intervention participants, whereas T2 (six months after the end of the intervention) data was only collected in participants. In this file, the quantitative scores are already calculated. Some demographic data was removed to preserve confidentiality. Data was collected via REDCap at the Ohio State University. More details on the data file can be found in the user guide.
