Datasets used in Graetz and Feng et al., 2025, 'Benchmarking fungal species classification using Oxford Nanopore Technologies long-read ITS metabarcodes'.
Three mock communities were constructed in silico from long ITS sequences individually amplified from 54 fungal species with primers NS5 (forward) and LR6 (reverse). Amplicons sequenced on an ONT MinION (R10.4.1). Basecalling and quality control steps are detailed in the associated GitHub repo for this manuscript.
