Effects of manure on soil TET-resistant and total bacterial communities

We examined the composition of bacterial communities in laboratory microcosms established with manure and soil from one farm (soil S) to analyze the effect of manure on both TET-resistant subcommunities and total bacterial communities at the manure-soil interlayer. Particularly, we sequenced a phylogenetic marker (16S rRNA gene) to identify bacterial taxa in 54 samples, including fresh manure (Ex) and soil from the interlayer in 4 treatments (control soil [treatment A], soil + nutrients [treatment B], manure soil [treatment C] and manure ?-irradiated soil [treatment D]) at 7 and 84 days. Three technical replications were performed per treatment and time. DNA sequences were grouped into 10.581 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) defined at 97 % sequence identity.
