Zooplankton data were collected during the La Jolla laboratory's (NMFS) Skipjack program from the early 1970's are attached. There were five cruises: Cromwell 51 (8 Nov - 20 Nov 70), Jordan 57 (2 Nov - 17 Dec 70), Jordan 60 (1 Mar - 16 Mar 71), Jordan 65 (16 Aug - 19 Oct 71), and Jordan 77 (8 Jan - 17 Feb 73). The procedure and gear used on the Skipjack cruises were the same as on the EASTROPAC surveys. That is, the amount of wire let out was 300 m (depth permitting), wire angles were maintained near 45 degrees throughout the tow, and the net frame had side by side. Rings with one-meter and .5-meter mouth-openings. The mesh sizes of the nets were 505 microns for the larger ring and 333 microns for the smaller one. Flow meters were centered in the mouth of the net rings.
