This data shows the position of all railway lines and railway stations in Great Britain. Both standard gauge (network rail managed) and narrow gauge (generally private) railways are shown. This data was extracted from Ordnance Survey Strategy Data that was released as part of the OS OpenData initiative in April 2010. GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2010-09-22 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-21.
