Dataset for "Facsimiles as Epigraphic Evidence: Pitfalls and Opportunities"

This dataset is used in the article "Facsimiles as Epigraphic Evidence: Pitfalls and Opportunities" (Journal of Epigraphic Studies 7, 2024, pp. 9-27). 

The material was collected through the itemisation of the epigraphic archive collection of Olof August Danielsson (Uppsala University Library). Types of facsimiles, date of creation, creator and references to CIE, Etruskische Texte and CIL were collected during itemisation. Information on type of object and material of object is collected from Etruskische Texte, with additional information from CIE. Method of inscription is collected from CIE.
