Knowledge of selected viral diseases in Italy 2020

After the recent spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the interest and attention for viral diseases increased dramatically. A survey conducted in February 2020 in Italy about the level of knowledge of selected viral diseases revealed that 46 percent of respondents declared to know the novel Coronavirus well or quite well. Also, according to the results, measles was the disease on which Italians were most informed, whereas the West Nile virus was least known.
