Metadata supporting "Understanding the role of gut microbiome in the relationship between environment, S. mansoni infection and Cardiovascular risk"

This dataset contains participant information supporting research to investigate the role of gut microbiome differences in explaining the link between helminths, environment and cardiovascular risk in Ugandan populations who live in rural (LaVIISWA metabolic survey) and urban settings (Entebbe urban survey). Variables include participant's blood pressure, cholesterol concentration, insulin concentration (while fasting), insulin concentration (while fasting), circulating anodic antigen (CAA) status for Schistosoma mansoni infection, and other measurements. The raw sequence data are held in the Zenodo repository at 10.5281/zenodo.18186512.
