This dataset contains the search strategies, screening documentation, and data extraction matrices for a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) examining the causal mechanisms linking High-Speed Rail (HSR) to regional innovation. The review follows PRISMA guidelines and was conducted in two stages to ensure currency and theoretical depth.

The dataset is provided to ensure the transparency and replicability of the "Integrated Framework of Mechanisms" (C1–C5) proposed in the associated manuscript.

This file details the targeted "top-up" search conducted in October 2025, focusing on recent empirical advances (2020–2025). It includes:

Synthesis Matrix: A detailed analysis of the 35 candidate papers from this phase, including the selection logic for the 12 key studies included in the final review.
