资源简介:
recorded by Nick Hall-Patch, VE7DXR
Grid square of location recorded: CN88ik
Maximum obscuration of the sun was 79% at 1620UT on 14 October 2023.
These data files are recordings of the entire medium wave broadcast band (535-1705kHz) made during the annular solar eclipse of 14 October 2024 from 1618UT to 1715UT from Victoria, BC, Canada.
Data Quality: local noise around 1675kHz and drifting during eclipse. Also. There was a 30 second dropout at 16:20UT
IQ data files are .wav format, but the archived files are .zip, with about ten .wav files packaged together in each .zip file, using the prefix " VE7DXR-Victoria-LargeLoop-wideband_220_2020kHz_ ". These files are a supplement to those saved in "Annular Solar Eclipse 2023: recordings of the entire medium-wave AM broadcast band from Victoria, BC, Canada, Part 1” and “Annular Solar Eclipse 2023: recordings of the entire medium-wave AM broadcast band from Victoria, BC, Canada, Part 2”.
The recordings not included here or in Parts 1 or 2 are available to provide reference data for the eclipse recordings. Please contact HamSCI at am-eclipse@hamsci.org if you require this data.
Please see "Annular Solar Eclipse 2023: recordings of the entire medium-wave AM broadcast band from Victoria, BC, Canada, Part 1” for software and for general supporting documentation. The Carrier Sleuth software stored in that location can be used to view .fft files zipped in “VE7DXRVictoria-NFlagAsLoop-CarrierSleuth-Oct14.zip” which will provide waterfall visualizations of all carriers for each AM broadcast band channel during the recording period of these supplementary IQ files.
Antenna: North facing Flag antenna, 5m H x 11m L, lower wire 1.4m above ground, with minimized termination to simulate a bidirectional loop antenna; Wellbrook FLG-100LN amplifier
Receiver: RFSpace CloudSDR, with 13dB front end attenuation. IQ files with a center frequency of 1100kHz, with 1800kHz wide passband, were recorded using SpectraVue v3.39 software. The CloudSDR was locked to 10MHz provided by a Trimble Thunderbolt GPS Disciplined Clock. Computer time accuracy was determined by Windows NTP server.
