This study was conducted at theTiantong National Station for Forest Ecosystem Research (29°48′N, 121°47′E), which is located at Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China. We combined field and laboratory experiments to examine how nutrient (nitrogen [N] and phosphorus [P]) additions and warming together influence fungal composition and microbial respiration in decomposing wood of angiosperms and gymnosperms. Our results suggest the key role of tree species in regulating nutrient response of wood microbial respiration through controlling fungal composition.
