STING R284S variant is constitutively active and induces inflammatory genes even in absence of STING ligand cGAMP. Overall design: Wild-type STING, N154S (SAVI mutant) and R284S were expressed in STING-/- MEF cells. RNA was extracted from the MEF cells and Affymetrix microarray was used to analyze gene expression in the MEF cells.
