The Oil Spill Contingency and Response Model (OSCAR) is being used to simulate the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) spill. Here is the result from representative simulation. It contains a time-varying 2D field of surface oil thickness throughout the incident. The spill is simulated with dispersant application at the wellhead, and with a release of 9000 cubic meters of oil per day, and with a gas-to-oil ratio of 285.
