Topics covered in this survey are holidays, living standards, living costs and food costs, Government ownership of industries, driving signals, Labor Party group preference (DLP or Evatt Group), attitudes to drinking in moderation, small bets on the tote and involvement of church leaders with political/moral issues, Federal vs State divorce laws and conjugal rights as grounds for divorce, influence of United States on Australian way of life, and relations with Russia in respect of ambassadors, a non-aggression pact and atom bomb tests. Standard variables are vehicle and telephone ownership, religion, occupation, economic classification, age, sex, vote intention, vote at last Federal election, and whether the respondent is a driver.
