An Archaeological Survey of the S-254 Bridge Replacement, Aiken County, South Carolina

"This survey, conducted by the South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation for the Federal Highway Administration, is in compliance with the Secretary of Interior's Standards and Guidelines (published in the Federal Register, September 29, 1983). This report conforms to the draft guidelines developed by the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation for archaeological surveys. The Department proposes to replace a substandard timber and precast concrete bridge with a modern reinforced concrete span."
