资源简介:
Aim of this study is to examine the impact of an individually designed exercise program and diet monitoring on the microbiome of the intestine and respiratory system, the physical performance and quality of life in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF). There is established evidence that poor nutrition status and low activity levels are accompanied by high inflammation burden and rapid decline of lung function. Abnormal microbiome colonization has been suspected to amplify undernutrition, growth failure, systemic inflammation and resulting infections and exacerbations in CF. Therefore, improvements of the nutritional status and microbiome composition shall be achieved by offering nutritional counseling and enrichment of nutrition with pre- and probiotics. In addition, patients will take part in a personalizedsports program to enhance their physical well-being.
