The aims of this study were to understand the role of inflammation in enthesis regeneration. Enthesis with sham operation and enthesis with injury post 3 days were used for RNA-sequence. The expression of Nlrp3, caspase-1, Il1b, P2rx7 were found elevated post-injury. Our study demonstrates that P2rx7/Nlrp3 inflammasome axis generates an pro-inflammatory niche to suppress enthesis regeneration.
