This statistic shows the card payments in the Benelux countries (Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands) as a percentage of total card payments in EU from 2013 to 2017. In 2017, Belgian card payments took up approximately 2.7 percent of the EU total. One preferred way of conducting money transfers in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands is by card. In 2016, Luxembourg had approximately 216 card payments per capita compared to 151 in Belgium and 232 in the Netherlands.
