The purpose of this study was to unravel the differences in the molecular profile between ischemic and remote myocardium after AMI. Overall design: Four healthy pigs were subjected to a 90 minutes balloon occlusion of the mid-left anterior descending coronary artery. Seven days after model induction, animals were euthanized and myocardial tissue from ischemic and remote ventricle zones was collected for omics techniques.
