Aedes aegypti mosquitoes from Tapachula, Mexico were exposed to permethrin in bottle bioassays. Three phenotypes were obtained: knockdown resistant, recovered and dead. We built genomic exome-captured libraries from pools of 25 mosquitoes exhibiting each phenotype. By comparing the exomes from each group, we identified specific genes associated with mechanisms of resistance.
