Said Abu-Khdiera interviewed by Nader Salah. <br>He discusses the following: Turkey (the Ottoman Empire) treated the local population well - better than the Britain did because they didn’t work with Zionists; locust plague; diseases the plague caused in 1915 devastated the local population; no role for women; relationships between Christians, Muslims and Jews were very good; only education was Islamic; denies that Ottomans took taxes by force; never heard about any rebellion against the Ottomans. <br>Original audio: cassette tape. Transcript: word for word. In the original collection at Bethlehem University this cassette tape was categorised as File 6 of Box 3. <br>This fileset exists as part of the Ottoman Empire and World War I collection within the Bethlehem University Oral History project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
