CeRDI (Centre for eResearch and Digital Innovation) Observation System Database Documentation Version 1.0.

The primary purpose of the observation system is to collect and store observation and measurement data and publish this data for researchers, industry, government and the public. It uses the ISO19156 and Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Observations and Measurements (O&M) conceptual model to store field and laboratory environmental data in a domain-independent structure. It is operational through several soil and land projects and initiatives of the Centre for eResearch and Digital Innovation, Federation University, and their land use and management research, government and farming system partners.

观测系统的核心宗旨在于收集与储存观测与测量数据，并将此类数据公之于众，以供研究人员、产业界、政府部门及公众查阅。该系统采用ISO19156和开放地理空间联盟（Open Geospatial Consortium，简称OGC）的观测与测量（O&M）概念模型，以领域无关的结构存储现场与实验室的环保数据。该系统通过中心电子研究与创新中心（Federation University的Centre for eResearch and Digital Innovation）及其土壤与土地项目及倡议，以及土地利用与管理研究、政府及农业系统合作伙伴的共同努力下得以运行。
