Evaluation of research entities by Hcéres

In the world of higher education and research, Hcéres independently evaluates institutions, their groupings, their research, their training and their doctoral schools to enable them to progress. The evaluation campaigns follow a five-year cycle, to be compatible with the requirements of the State’s contractual policy, which has divided the establishments concerned into five geographical areas known as waves A, B, C, D and E (see https://www.hceres.fr/en/les-campagnes-devaluation). This dataset lists the evaluations of research entities, starting from the 2023-2024 evaluation campaign. These entities include research units, federative structures and clinical investigation centres. This list is drawn up each year, prior to the evaluation campaign, by means of a dialogue between Hcéres and the supervisory bodies of the research units, i.e. national research organisations and universities. The evaluation of a research entity is described as follows. 1/ Identification of the research entity by: - An internal identifier Hcéres; - his name; - its acronym or abbreviation; - its identifier in the national directory of research structures (RNSR, see https://appliweb.dgri.education.fr/rnsr/); - The major scientific field(s) she is studying (ST for science and technology, SHS for humanities and social sciences, EVS for life and environmental sciences); - His mailing address. 2/ Its attachment to one or more guardianships. Guardianship is identified by: - his name; - its IAU code (for registered administrative unit). 3/ The evaluation itself: - its wave of contracting (A, B, C, D or E); - The evaluation campaign concerned (e.g. 2023-2024); - The URL pointing to the evaluation report (the field remains empty until the report is made public). Be careful, a research unit appears as many times as it has guardianships. Update of 17 May: the previous version had fictitious RNSR codes, generated by Hcéres for units without them. From now on, the RNSR code is only entered for the units actually referenced. To uniquely identify each unit, even those without an RNSR code, a Hcéres identifier is also published. It will make it possible to make the link between several evaluations of the same unit.
