Data from: Comparative studies on water- and vapor-based hydrothermal carbonization: process analysis

Methods are described in the manuscript http://dx.doi.org/10.3390/en13215733. Descriptions corresponding to each figure and table in the manuscript are placed on separate tabs to clarify abbreviations and summarize the data headings and units. Figures 1 and 6 were generated using the NIST Reference Thermodynamic and Transport Properties software (REFPROP) v. 10.0 (https://www.nist.gov/srd/refprop). For Fig.6, the temperatures and moalr volumes of different feedstock and HTC conditions reported in the literature were plotted to the T-v diagram generated from the REFPROP. These literature data points are included in the xlsx file.
