Isolation of the true antiviral bioactive components from a material labeled isoquercitrin >=90% (IQC90). The Residual Complexity of IQC90 showed activity against SARS-CoV-2 and Ebola virus. Orthogonal separation methods and bioassay-guided fractionation led to the isolation of two acylated triterpene oligoglycosides as the true antiviral principles.
