Canadian Gallup Poll, November 1988, #776t

This Gallup poll seeks the opinions of Canadians, on predominantly political issues. The questions ask opinions on which party's candidate in the upcoming federal election would make the best Prime Minister, which party the respondents favour and the respondents' degree of interest in the electoral campaign. There are also questions on other topics of interest such as voter decision making, free trade and voting choice in previous elections. The respondents were also asked questions so that they could be grouped according to geographic, political and social variables. Topics of interest include: degree of interest in upcoming election; likelihood that respondent will choose to vote; voter preferences; the Free Trade agreement and its impact on Canada; and assessments of party leaders. Basic demographics are also included.
