A dataset about flowering plants (Angiosperms) and their flower abundance in Urban Community Gardens spread across Berlin and Munich

This repository contains data on flowering plants (angiosperms, excluding the order Poales) collected in urban community gardens in the German cities of Berlin and Munich. The data were collected during four field sampling rounds per year, conducted from spring to summer in 2024 and 2025. The dataset includes records of all flowering plant species and their floral abundance recorded within a 400 m² plot in each garden during each sampling round. Taxon names follow the World Checklist of Vascular Plants (WCVP). In addition, the native distributional range of each taxon was assigned at the continental scale (Level 1) according to the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions (WGSRPD).
