资源简介:
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is the most common disease in older men. There is increasing evidence that periodontitis increases the risk of BPH. However, little is known about the role and mechanism of periodontitis and oral pathogens in the development of BPH. Eight patients diagnosed with BPH concurrent periodontitis were included in the study. Subgingival plaque and prostatic fluid were extracted for bacterial culture and 16s rDNA sequencing was performed. Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis), Streptococcus oralis Capnocytophaga ochracea and other oral pathogens were simultaneously detected in the prostatic fluid and subgingival plaque of patients with BPH concurrent periodontitis, and the average relative abundance of P. gingivalis was found to be the highest. P. gingivalis was detected in both prostatic fluid and subgingival plaque in 62.5% of patients.
