The P2Y13 purinergic receptor couples quiescence exit to symmetric differentiative division in the adult subependymal zone

Lentiviral constructs encoding P2Y 13 and GFP were injected into both hemispheres of the SEZ of young adult (8-12 weeks) C57/B16 mice. After 7 days post-injection, the SEZ from each hemisphere was dissected out and digested enzymatically to perform FACS analysis and isolate GFP+ cells within either LV-GFP (Control samples) or LV-P2Y 13 -IRES-GFP (P2Y13 overexpression samples). These GFAP+ cells were then analyzed in RNA-seq experiments.
