Gene expression analysis of mouse pancreas carrying Prox1 ectopic acinar expression

RNA sequencing was used to identify gene expression changes in pancreatic acinar cells with ectopic expression of the homeodomain transcription factor Prox1 Overall design: The pancreas P7 control mice (Ptf1a cre/+) and P7 Prox1-AcOE transgenic mice (Ptf1a cre/+;CAG-loxP-STOP-loxP-Prox1-LacZ) was dissected and placed in RNA later reagent. 3 individual "control" pools and 3 individual "mutant" pancreata were processed for RNA extraction using TRIzol reagent and PueLinkTM RNA Mini Kit (Invitrogen). RNA quality was assesed using the Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer. Six sequencing libraries (3 "control" and 3 "mutant") were made usingTruSeq mRNA-Seq library prep. NextSeq high througput was used for sequencng.
