AGN Feedback in Action: the powerful wind in IRAS F05054+1718

We propose simultaneous NuSTAR (80 ksec) & XMMNewton (60 ksec) observations ofIRASF05054+1718, a local (z 0.0175) Seyfert 2 galaxy, which hosts a powerfuldisk wind and where there is evidence of quenching of star formation. In thissource, Swift data suggested the presence of a powerful and highvelocity (vouta?? 0.1 c) wind, most likely launched within 100Rg . A short NuSTAR observationconfirms the presence of such a wind, but with a much higher velocity (vout a??0.2 c). Neither of the two previous observations have the statistical qualityneeded to fully investigate the physical properties of this wind.
