Rhizobium leguminosarum strain TRX19 either carrying the prophage vTRX32-1 or not, was evolved under 2 host environments; nodules - where bacteria were isolated from symbiotic nodules, or rhizosphere - where bacteria were isolated from the root surface. Isolates were sequenced after 4 transfers, where all treatments survived, and after 8 transfers where only the nodule treatments survived
