Money Flow Network: Campaign Contributions Among U.S. House Members (2007-2022)
收藏资源简介:
Money Flow Network (MFN) is a longitudinal dataset of committee-mediated campaign contributions among sitting members of the U.S. House of Representatives across eight election cycles (2007–2008 to 2021–2022; 110th–117th Congresses). For each cycle, MFN provides (1) node attributes for all 435 elected representatives, (2) an aggregated directed edge list with dollar-valued weights and transaction counts, (3) transaction-level records with provenance fields that link back to FEC filings, and (4) a GraphML network file for direct use in network analysis tools. This release (v2.0) is the complete version with transaction-level data for all cycles and edge weights equal to the sum of transaction amounts. The dataset supports weighted and temporal network analyses of intra-party resource transfers, including centrality and concentration measures, within-cycle timing analyses, and reproducible validation using transaction provenance fields. Data source: public Federal Election Commission (FEC) records. Amounts are nominal (not inflation-adjusted). Some transactions can have negative values due to refunds or corrections. Files are organized by election cycle: 07_08, 09_10, 11_12, 13_14, 15_16, 17_18, 19_20, 21_22. Each cycle contains nodes.csv, edges.csv, transactions.csv, and a GraphML file.
