Hazardous substances in stormwaters in Turku region (NonHazCity3)

Data consisting of stormwater samples from Turku region, Finland, from which several groups of harmful substances associated with building materials have been analysed. Samples have been collected from four urban areas, three with buildings in the drainage area and one with no buildings.

Analysed substances include PFAS, biocides, organophosphorus flame retardants, phthalates, chlorinated paraffins and elements (inc. metals).

Long chain chlorinated paraffins (LCCPs)  - only from first sample of each sampling location
Fluorotelomer alcohols  - only from first sample of each sampling location
Solids, conductivity, total phosphorus and nitrogen, COD – from all samples

File ‘stormwater - results 2023 - NonHazCity3’ includes information on the samplings and analysis results of the substances, which have been found in concentration above laboratory’s reporting limit in at least one sample.
