资源简介:
This dataset contains 544 field measurements of traffic noise and particulate matter concentrations collected from 12 roadside pocket parks in Shenyang, China. The study investigates how these environmental indicators attenuate with increasing distance from the road boundary into park interiors.
Measurements were taken along transects perpendicular to the adjacent road. Each transect comprises a roadside baseline point (P1, distance = 0 m) and up to six interior points (P2-P7) at distances of 5 to 50 metres. Acoustic data (A-weighted equivalent continuous sound level, LAeq) were recorded with a calibrated Class 1 sound level meter, and particulate matter concentrations (PM1, PM2.5, PM10, respirable PM, and TSP) were measured simultaneously with a portable particle counter. Each park was measured over 3-4 rounds during morning (7:00-9:00) and evening (17:00-19:00) peak traffic periods under dry, low-wind conditions.
The dataset is provided as a single CSV file (measurements.csv, UTF-8). Each row represents one observation and contains 18 variables: park identifiers (anonymised as Park A-L), measurement point and round labels, distance from the road in metres, LAeq in decibels, five PM fractions in micrograms per cubic metre, park attributes (size category, area, spatial openness, number of street-facing sides), and ambient temperature and humidity. Half of the observations (272 rows at distance = 0) are roadside baselines; the remaining 272 interior-point observations are used for regression analyses in the accompanying paper.
