The room has square white tiles 3/4 of the way up the walls, ending with a black and white border. There are four nuns in habits, one nurse in uniform, two women in street clothes, and three babies. One nurse is bathing a baby in a sink against the wall. Further down along this wall, there is another sink with a nurse looking down towards it, while a woman stands and looks towards the center of the room. There is a large table in the middle of the room; the top is separated into four sections and there is raised shelf with supplies. In two of the sections the babies are being attended to by the nuns.
