The microbial composition present within Picungan Bandeng samples originating from the Banten province remains unknown. In our research, we have endeavored to shed light on this aspect by characterizing the microbiota found in Picungan Bandeng samples sourced from three distinct regions within the Banten province. This characterization was achieved through the analysis of DNA sequences derived from the V3 V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene. Utilizing next-generation sequencing technology, we generated sequences without the necessity of isolating and cultivating the microorganisms.
