Nowadays the excessive accumulation of nitrate has been one of the main reasons for secondary salinization in greenhouse soils. Light plays a key role in plant growth, development, and re-sponse to stress. Low red and far-red ratio (R:FR) could enhance plant salinity tolerance, but the mechanism on molecular level is veiled. Thus, we analyzed the transcriptome responses of tomato seedlings to calcium nitrate stress with low R:FR ratio (0.7) or normal light conditions.
