Dataset and ANN model specifications for: First population dynamics assessment of the zebra seabream (Diplodus cervinus) in the eastern Mediterranean: AI-enabled insights for sustainable management in data-poor fisheries

This dataset supports the findings of the study "First population dynamics assessment of the zebra seabream (Diplodus cervinus) in the eastern Mediterranean: AI-enabled insights for sustainable management in data-poor fisheries". It includes: (1) a representative subset of biometric data (n=50 specimens) with total length, body weight, scale-based age, and macroscopic maturity status; and (2) technical specifications, training hyperparameters, and performance metrics of the multilayer perceptron (MLP) artificial neural network model used for non-destructive age and maturity prediction.
