This is a historical dam database created using historical maps, town history books, county history books, existing dam databases from other agencies (The Nature Conservancy, Charles River Watershed Association, Town of Plymouth, MA) and other historical documents. Access to historical documents on google books and archive.org was integral to compiling historical dams data.
