Amount of retail e-commerce sales in France 2017-2023

Retail e-commerce spending had reached an estimated 58.84 billion euros in 2019, rising 11.5 percent year over year. That will represent 9.5 percent of total retail sales in France. By 2023, the source expects ecommerce outlays to top 79 billion euros. Groceries, household appliances and other items that many consumers previously hesitated to buy online are posting the most rapid growth, but clothing and accessories remain the greatest contributor to overall retail ecommerce sales.
